PREGNANCY MUST HAVES
My Pregnancy must haves :
Pregnancy is hard. Harder than I thought it would be but here are some things that made my time being pregnant just a little bit easier.
Maternity pillow-
These pillows are a must! Especially the full body ones. My pillow supported my head, my horsing tummy, legs and back. It my feel like you have built a fort between you and your husband but you get such a better night sleep!
I found a great new full body maternity pillow on eBay which was half he price of ones at the store.
Maternity leggings-
I found that just plain black maternity leggings were great to wear around the house or even out paired with a cute blouse. They are strechy, comfortable and support your bump.
I found one pair at T.J MAXX on sale and another pair I purchased at Kmart from their maternity section.
Maternity bras-
Yes yes yes. Support those ever growing breast with maternity/nursing bras. My favourite kind were from Target which provided support while pregnant and also great once I started breast feeding as they have the easy clip in the straps. 👌🏻
Flat shoes-
Lest face it, your not going to be stopping around in stilettos while your with child. (Even though I sometime still did wear small heels) but I found for every day, a comfortable pair of flat or ballerina shoes are the best. I got a new pair from Betts. (Half price at $24, winning!)
Shaver-
I loved using the schick shaver during my pregnancy. I found it was so much more convenient to not have go worry about shaving cream or soap, just wiz this baby over your legs (if you can reach!) and your done. Found at your local chemist or supermarket.
Lotion and oil-
It is very important to keep your skin hydrated especially when it is stretching. I liked to use palmers products; palmers stretch mark lotion and also just palmers coco butter. I also at night would apply either bio oil or coconut oil. These products also found at any chemist or supermarket.
Sickness remedies-
If you were like me (and let’s hope your not!) you will get very sick during your pregnancy. Some women only have slight morning sickness for a few weeks and some may have sickness during there entire pregnancy. My tips are to try foods like ginger lollies or tea, plain crackers and any easy to stomach snacks that you like. It’s horrible but you will get through it!
Water bottle-
A no brainer. You should drink plenty of water everyday and having a good water bottle you fill everyday is great. I myself found a large 2L water bottle at T.J MAXX. Having this bottle allowed me to insure I was drinking my 2 litres a day as recommended.
Snacks-
As said before snacks are good to have in hand. When your not sick you will be hungry. Having healthy snacks like pretzels, fruit or veggie sticks are good options.
Multivitamin-
It’s important to take your pregnancy multivitamin everyday. Speak to you doctor about which one is best for you.
Books-
Book are a great was to rest and relax before the baby comes.
Netflix-
Some tv time doesn’t hurt either!
Rest!-
Rest is crucial for you and your growing baby. Make sure you get enough sleep and try to take it easy.
Pregnancy is a very exciting but hard time in your life. You may love it or you may hate it but I hope these things make it just a little bit easier! Good luck with your little ones
