3-6 month Baby must haves

My 3-6 moths must haves
As your baby grows and develops there are a few new item your may want to bring into your home for you baby. These are my 3-6 months must haves.

All of my previous must haves 0-3 months I still use all of these. So read my previous blog for those items.

Activity centre- I’m in love with my activity center by Skip hop. It allows my baby to jump and stand in a safe position while playing with lots of fun Toy’s that are attached! It also has a nice white base with just a pop of colour from the toys so it isn’t in your face and goes well in the home. I highly recommend it! Can be used from four months +

Large activity gym- as my baby started to wiggle off his small play mat I original had for him I had to get him a larger one and of course I choose skip hop silver lining clouds activity gym. I was so impressed with the play centre I wanted to get more of their products. This mat features many hanging toys which light up, make sound and have different textures to entertain baby. Forrest absolutely loves it and again it is a soft colour pallet so it goes well with home decor.

Toys-  different toys are also important to have as your baby grows and are interested in different things. Forrest really started to be interested in things that light up or make sound. We also love playing with small balls and looking play mirrors. Sensory play is also important at this age.
Some of my favourite brands are skip hop, tiny love, fisher price and Disney baby.

Books- we still really enjoy ready and I think at any age it is a great thing to do for your child. Some favourites this month have been ‘where the wild things are’ and also ‘that’s not my teddy’ with is a sensory touch and feel book.

Sleep bag- now that your baby may be getting to big and breaking out of his swaddle it may be time to introduce a sleep bag. Sleep bags are comfortable and safe for sleeping babies. I love using our grobag by the grocompany. These bags are hip healthy and come in different tots for different temperatures so you can garentee your baby doesn’t become to hot or too cold.
SIDS safety recommends that no lose blankets in the crib so I really like using sleep bags on my baby.

Feeding equipment - Your baby may be stating solids around the 5-6 month mark so feeding equipment are essential. I really like using bowls with suction cups on the bottom so they can not be thrown off the high chair. Also get your self some baby weaning spoon and lots of bibs and wash cloths.
Of making your own baby food I recommend some sort of stick blender or nutra bullet to purée your baby fruits and vegetables.

High chair- once you start your baby on solids you will need a high chair or a booster seat. I have both. I really like my ingenuity baby base as it is very convenient to take anywhere!
As for a high chair we have the childcare pod high chair which has a slick modern design and also easy to clean.

Clothes- lastly more clothes! Your baby will grown so fast and will be needed to go up a size or two! I still loved sleepers and body suits with leggings. As well as hats and shoes as more outdoor play might be part of your routine now. You may also be doing more loads of washing now as your baby becomes messier with food! So remember to use a gentle detergent for your little one!

And that’s all my 3-6 months must haves. Children grow up so fast so enjoy it! Wishing you best of luck with your babies!
