TWO YEAR OLD GIFT GUIDE
Two year old gift guide
It was my little ones second birthday and I feel like it’s such a fun age! This year I wanted to get presents which were fun, educational and useful to my little man. Below is a list of the gifts he received.
Cubby house-
This was probably Forrest’s favourite gift! I found the cutest cubby at Target (AUS) which was only $199. It came in a subtle grey and orange colour and has added features like a shelf and spin wheel inside and a picnic table and two chairs attached on the outside. It’s really added to our outdoor play space and my toddler plays with it everyday!
Art easel-
I was really excited to get an art easel for my little artist. My toddler loves to paint so this gift was perfect! I purchased the jolly kids smart easel from toy world which has a paint and white board in one side and a chalk board on the other. We get so much use out of this!
Nesting dolls-
Nesting dolls are a great gift for toddlers. They provide so many different uses in open ended play also help to practices the containment schemer (putting things into things). I purchase the woodland dolls from amazon and Forrest loves them!
Musical instruments-
My toddler really enjoys making music so I purchased a few more instruments to add to his collection. I got a wooden bell shaker and a wooden percussions rattle from amazon.
Craft materials-
Like I said early my toddler loves arts and craft so he was really happy when he opened all his new craft materials. I got him new paints, brushes, glitter, stickers, collage materials and glue, pencils and paper plates. Plus extra play dough!
Books-
It’s really great to read to your child from an early age and my son loves books! This year I got him a few Halloween books since his birthday is in the Halloween season. His favourite is ‘where’s Mr.s Witch?’
Wooden cleaning toys-
Kids love to help, especially my little guys so I thought it was fitting I got him his own child sized cleaning set. The set I found at target include a broom, mop, dust pan, brush and a stand for them all. He has this placed next to his play kitchen and it’s adorable to watch him go grab his little mop and help me when I mop and clean. :)
Kitchen shopping basket-
This is another pretend play item my toddler loves to use this little shopping basket in his play kitchen. He fills it with his toy vegetables and carries it around it’s too cute! I found mine on amazon.
Montessori Letters-
Since we practice some Montessori principals in our home I thought it was fitting I got Forrest some Montessori practice letter.

They included - a-z / A-Z Sandpaper Alphabets Boards. A wood box of 2 grids, one holds A-Z and one holds a-z sandpaper letter printed short boards. They are great for children to get familiar with the letter sound and writting of words, for future exercises in composing words. I purchased mine off amazon. My son now knows his vowels.
Clothes-
And lastly clothes. Not too exciting for a toddler but most likely you will be needed some more clothes for these fast growing humans! I really enjoyed shopping for clothes for my little man! My favourite brands are target organic cotton, cotton on kids and Next UK.
So those are the gifts we got our two year old. These gifts are great for any gender and can be used for years to come!
Happy gifting!
