Save Our Sleep: Revised Edition
By:
If you have read my blogs in the past you would know my child has had sleep issues from day one and although we are still struggling with them this book does continue some really great tips that have helped. The details on the routines are amazing and it really seems to cover most sleep issues and what the causes may be from newborn to toddler age. I would really recommend this to any parent to read from as soon as they have their little Bub. I truely wish I discovered it sooner.
Blurb: ‘Tizzie Hall is an internationally renowned baby whisperer who has been working with babies and their parents for over 24 years. Her customised sleep routines have helped thousands of restless babies sleep through the night.’
Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems
By: Richard Ferber
‘A revision of a classic guide for parents shares accessible advice on how to address sleep problems in children from birth through adolescence, in a reference that covers such topics as night terrors, night wetting, and co-sleeping. Original. 75,000 first printing.’
I must admit I did not read this from start to finish but rather picked out the bits that were relevant to our family. We used a customised version of the Ferber method on our baby and this method did work and continued working for quite a few months until other aspects disrupted it. I say to parents who are experiencing babies with sleep issues, read this book, talk to your pediatrician and follow what version work for you.

Elevating Child Care
A Guide to Respectful Parenting
By: Janet Lansbury
This book has really impacted the way we view raising our child and helped tremendously.
Here is a Blurb: ‘Janet Lansburys advice on respectful parenting is quoted and shared by millions of readers worldwide. Inspired by the pioneering parenting philosophy of her friend and mentor, Magda Gerber, Janets influential voice encourages parents and child care professionals to perceive babies as unique, capable human beings with natural abilities to learn without being taught; to develop motor and cognitive skills; communicate; face age appropriate struggles; initiate and direct independent play for extended periods; and much more. Once we are able to view our children in this light, even the most common daily parenting experiences become stimulating opportunities to learn, discover, and to connect with our child. Eschewing the quick-fix tips and tricks of popular parenting culture, Janets insightful philosophy lays the foundation for a closer, more fulfilling parent/child relationship, and children who grow up to be authentic, confident, successful adults.’
So those are the parenting book that I currently recommend any caregiver to read. I think literature is such an important part of our world and should be read and shared as much as possible. Raising a child isn’t easy so I welcome any sort of help that I can get my hands on.
These book are available most popular sites like on amazon, booktopia and also Audio books.
Take care, keep reading
