Quick Easter Activities for your children
Fun Easter activities for your child:
Since we are all stuck inside over this long weekend here is a list of some quick Easter themed activities you can do with your little ones!
Easter water paint-
Print off some Easter colouring in sheets and provide your child with the pictures, a small brush, a small bowl of water and some water colour paints and let them go for it! My son really enjoys this activity.
Easter play dough-
Simple make some home made play dough in Easter colours with you child. Provide them with fake eggs to squish into the play dough and have fun!
Bunny tales-
For this craft activity you will need to draw or print out some bunny bum pictures and then either using Pom poms or patty cake papers, your child can glue the tales on there bunny and then colour them in :)
Outdoor Easter picnic-
Backyard picnics are always at fun way to spend a afternoon and making it Easter themed would make it extra fun. You could even bring out some stuffed bunny toys to make it a Easter bunny picnic.
Red Dyed eggs-
This was a Greek tradition that my family would do every year.
Fun fact: According to Greek tradition, Easter eggs are dyed red. Red colour represents Jesus Christ's blood. Eggsthemselves represent Jesus Christ's sealed Tomb from which He arose after His Crucifixion. ... Cracking the Easter eggs symbolises Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead.
If you interested in the recipe I will link it below.
Baking-
Easter baking is so much fun you could make Easter cupcakes with your little ones or Easter cookies. A simple idea is to get some plain biscuits and decorate them with icing and sprinkles! I will link our quick recipes in my insta highlights.
Easter egg hunt-
Hide some Easter eggs around your house and back yard, provide your child with an Easter basket and let them find the eggs! You can use real chocolate eggs or I prefer to use fake toy eggs they can play with them after they collect them :)
So there is my super quick list of just some of the activities you could do this long weekend but there are so many more options! What ever you choose to do I hope everyone stays safe and healthy this Easter.
Happy Easter !
