Three year old gift guide

 Three year old gift guide.

Below is a list of what I selected for my sons third birthday, I hope this bring inspiration to your gift buying this year x

Three is such a nice age and iv really been enjoy all the new things we can do together.

*Note a few of these were giving to Forrest earlier in the year while in isolation so most of these would also be great gifts for two year + olds.

Wobble board

Fo loves his wobble/ balance board! We find it so versatile, not only does he use it to balance on but also as a car track, a bridge, a house for his farm animals and a slide for his ball pit. I really recommend this one.

Magnetic tiles

This is another open ended toy my son is really into. He has a small pack now he loves to play with all the time, making houses or bridge track. So I went ahead and got him the large deluxe pack. I think he’s going to have many hours of play with these.

Balance bike/ trike

We actually got Fo a balance earlier in the year but I thought it was worth mentioning on this list. This is a great way to introduce a bike to your child before going ahead and getting a trike with peddles which at age three would also be suitable if your child is interested.

Water table

Our previous water table was getting a bit worse for wear so I decided to upgrade it to a larger one. We purchased the ‘ELC Sand and Water Table’ (availed at baby bunting). I liked the size and quality and bonus it comes with a waterproof lid, which is also a car track.

Market stall

This year I asked my mother to gift Forrest a market stall which she got from Kmart AU. It’s super cute and comes with wooden fruits and vegetables. I think it will go perfect next to my sons wooden play kitchen. x

Craft materials

Craft items is always a good choice for young children. We probably at least one craft activity every single day my son loves it so much. This year I got him a paper machete dinosaur he can paint, new water paints, new paint brushes, a sketch book and play dough materials.

Books

Of course books are always on my gift list for children of any age. This year I got my son a book about dinosaurs and also ‘Stick man’ by Julia Donaldson.

Clothes and shoes

Who doesn’t like new clothing right? Some of my favourite place to shop for Forrest is NEXT Aus online and Target AU (organic cotton range) and for shoes I like to get nicer quality shoes from the sport shop, so either Nike or Asics.

Yum box

This year I got my son the YUMBOX Tapas lunchbox. These lunchbox are really well made, have plenty of room for lunch and snacks and are leeks proof. I recommend checking out Adventures snacks AU for options. I also got him a new Dino lunch bag and new smoothie cup.

Educational games

‘Orchard toys’ have some great options for education games for little ones. I got the shopping list game which I think Fo will really enjoy.

Puzzles

You can’t go wrong with puzzles. I picked up a couple of two piece puzzles along with some larger multi piece puzzles from Target AU.

Dinosaur toys

Lastly of course I had to include some Dino figures for Forrest this year. Target have a great range of ‘real life’ animal figures that are perfect for his age. 👌🏻

So those are my gift choices for my son this year. I tried to not go overboard and keep to things that he is interested in and items he needed. I also asked family member for some musical instruments for Forrest, so he might be receiving those too 😊

Happy birthday to my little man!
